Not actually a gondola venetian style, but it seemed most fitting to describe this smaller version of the swan ships mentioned in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. This also is a rather early piece of watercolours and also considering that I had left out all attetion to detailed backgrounds for years. It is far from perfect, however the subject of the boat still makes it one of my favourites.
What also made me proud of it were some very positive words from a VIP in fantasy and Tolkien illustration about the boat design..
